Reformed Church of Tășnad
About us
The Reformed congregation of Tășnad belongs to the Nagykároly (Carei) Deanery of the Reformed Church District of Királyhágómellék. Our daughter congregations are Újtasnád and Sződemeter — birthplace of Ferenc Kölcsey, author of the Hungarian national anthem.
Who we are
We are a Hungarian-speaking Reformed congregation in Tășnad, Satu Mare County, Romania. God’s Word has been preached here since the Reformation, and today our community is made up of families, elders and young people.
We believe that we are saved by God’s grace through faith in Jesus Christ. Preaching stands at the centre of our worship; our two sacraments are baptism and the Lord’s Supper.
Our faith
What we believe
Scripture alone
The Bible is God’s Word, the rule of our faith and life.
Grace alone
Salvation is God’s gift, not a human achievement.
Faith alone
We are justified through trust in Jesus Christ.
Christ alone
He is the only mediator between God and humanity.
To God alone be glory
Our life’s purpose is to glorify God and serve our neighbours.
